Water Chiller

• 0.5 HP Chiller (160 Gallon + No Tank Configurations, 110V)

  • Ability to Cool 160 Gallons from 70°F to 35°F in 12-18 hours in our tests

  • Operates best at ambient air temperatures of 45°F or higher
  • We do not recommend placing these chillers outside in cold climates during winter months, both due to reduced efficiency and potential for water to freeze in the heat exchanger
  • 220V class; requires 200–240V single phase power

• Hashtek Commercial Glycol Chillers do not have this limitation for outdoor or cold-climate installations.

Recirculation System

• 2x 25′ lengths of silicone food grade hose for recirculation line (with hose clamps so it can be cut to size)
• 2x 5′ length of Silicone food grade hose with pre crimped tri clamp connections for filling agitation tank or rinse water
  • Depending on room temperature and run line, you may still want to use the rinse pump kit and a separate ice-filled drum
• Tri-Clamp fittings, gaskets, valves, and adapters required for full system integration

  • We typically recommend the 300 gallon tank to allow overnight cold water stockpiling and reduced temperature swings

Insulation

• For wash labs operating near freezing, insulation is not required due to minimal temperature differential
• For environments between 38–50°F, a neoprene insulating jacket for 300 gallon tanks will be released
• If the cold water tank is stored in ambient temperatures above 60°F, we recommend a 1″ thick wrap of Armacell closed-cell insulation
  • Elastomeric EPDM material with R-value of 4.2
  • Glued directly to the tank for increased efficiency
  • Completely stops tank sweating and significantly improves thermal performance
  • Adds approximately 2″ to the outer diameter
    • 300 gallon tank becomes ~37″ OD — confirm doorway clearance before ordering
  • Due to shipping sensitivity, we recommend local installation once tanks are in place
